This building was almost entirely constructed with wood cladding. It is notable that it was combined with metal cladding on the top floor, a successful combination of materials.

Building and facade with wood cladding: between urban style and natural spirit

Responding to the growing desire for naturalness, wood cladding is making its way into cities as a façade cladding for new or renovated buildings. With a larger surface area to cover than a house, cladding a building also allows for greater freedom and creativity. Appreciated by many architects committed to sustainable development, it allows for a variety of colors and structured spaces.

Break the monotony of large facades with cladding

By varying the direction of installation or the color of the slats on each level, each floor can easily stand out from those around it. Certain parts of a single building can also be skillfully highlighted by combining shades that stand out from each other. Cladding a building facade with wood cladding also allows you to combine materials for a very natural look, or an ultra-urban style.

Colors in the city

When cladding a building, it is possible to preserve the original color of the wood by applying a suitable treatment product or to leave it gray. Colored cladding offers a wide variety of finishes, from the most sober (white, black, gray) to the most striking for an urban area (red, blue, green). What if wood was the future of cities?
