Successfully distributing the biggest brands of materials for 40 years, the trading company BigMat Beuve Matériaux has expanded its main site in Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte in the Manche region to house part of its offices and create a showroom for Art & Fenêtres products. Reflecting the company and its values, the extension is entirely made of wood. While it fits in with the simple lines of the surrounding buildings, it nevertheless stands out from the existing workshops thanks to the warmth emanating from the wood, both outside and inside, creating a working environment that is highly valued by the company's employees who have invested in it.
The constructive choices of the project

The entire structure of the building is based on CLT, which ensured a dry and fast construction site. Accompanied by bio-sourced wood fiber insulation, it offers thermal quality that makes the building extremely efficient. The exterior cladding in Douglas "faux openwork" gives brightness to the facades while nourishing their geometry. Inside, a variety of wood cladding punctuates the spaces, including the 3D cladding from the RELIEF range in natural finish Fir which, combined with plays on paint tones, create an organic and graphic universe thanks to the curves and textures made possible by this industrial innovation, which has won numerous awards since its launch in 2024.
