A paneling designed for lovers of raw wood and those who love mountain chalet atmospheres.
WHAT IS ROUGH-SAWN PANELLING?
There are several surface finishes for wooden paneling in a chalet. Planed wood has a very smooth surface. Brushed wood retains a raised grain and shows no signs of sawing. Heat-treated paneling has a natural appearance, but its color differs slightly from its original shade. Finally, "rough-sawn" wood paneling offers the most authenticity. It has not received any chemical or mechanical treatment after being sawn and therefore retains its color, all the natural roughness of the wood, and some saw marks, for a raw style identical to the paneling in a mountain chalet.
WOOD PANELLING FOR A TRADITIONAL OR MODERN CHALET
Wooden paneling in a chalet replaces the plaster walls of a traditional house. For an authentic feel, install the boards horizontally, in the same direction as the exterior cladding. To avoid a visually overwhelming effect, opt for elegant, wide boards, whose rough-sawn finish will enhance the charm of your interior. You can also opt for a contemporary mix & match by installing paneling on only one or two walls, combining it with other materials on the remaining partitions, or by changing the installation direction for each wall.
